What if I need to cancel?
Schedule Change? Illness? You need to cancel? We need to cancel? Here’s what you need to know about our refund policies.
You need to cancel your registration or to transfer to another date: if you make the request by email to cancel your registration outside of 14 days of the scheduled course date, you are welcome to transfer to another date at no cost or receive a full tuition refund. If you make the email request to cancel your registration by email within 14 days of the course date, no refund of your tuition fees is available but you are most welcome to transfer to another date upon payment of a cancellation fee of 20% of the course tuition. The cancellation fee is applied immediately upon confirmation, and will be sent to you as an online invoice (this applies as well to those who register for courses paid by another party – the student will be billed the cancellation fee).
We need to cancel a course: SkillStat Learning Inc. reserves the right to cancel a course and fully refund registration fees due to insufficient registration or other circumstances beyond our control. If a course is cancelled by SkillStat within 14 days then the student will be given the option of either receiving a full refund or transferring to another available date (with a 20% tuition refund by SkillStat if the student has paid for the registration). We disdain cancelling courses, so we rarely do. But if we need to cancel, we want to offer you some compensation (20% of course tuition) for the frustration and inconvenience this likely is for you. It’s only fair.
Liability and costs from a cancellation: SkillStat Learning Inc. assumes no liability for cancellation of a course. Any ancillary costs related to the student taking a class (including but not limited to: air travel, travel costs, hotels, per-diems, mileage, lost employee wages or salary) are the responsibility of the student and/or their employer. If a class is cancelled by SkillStat, SkillStat Learning Inc.’s liability is limited to the amount of the registration fee only.
Returning a book: books purchased for classroom courses are non-refundable after the shrink-wrap is removed. Please contact us by phone or email to return unopened books.
Refund requests for online programs and products: if for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with your online program or product within 30 days of the purchase date, email us your name, the date of the purchase and the product. We will refund you the full value.
This refund policy is effective from January 1, 2017.
A 20% administration fee will be retained on all tuition fees paid when course cancellations are made outside of two weeks and within 30 days of a scheduled course start date.
Cancellation/Transfer Window and Fees: In the event of a cancellation less than two weeks prior to a course start date the entire tuition or group fee will not be refunded. No transfer fee will be charged if notice of transfer is given 30 days prior to the start of the course. A transfer fee of 15% of the total fees will be applicable if notice to transfer is given between 14 days and 30 days prior to the start of a course. A transfer fee of 25% of the total fees will be applicable if notice to transfer is given less than 14 days prior to the start of the course.
